#TheAltWithMel began out of necessity. Upon moving to New York City and breaking into the industry Melvin began The Alternative in a studio apartment thus beginning his path. The name comes from listening to ‘B Side’ records and enjoying them more than the ‘A Side’ as well as having the freedom to play music he felt should be highlighted versus songs constantly heard on the charts.

This began as an extension of my radio show. It’s called The Alternative Road Podcast because I speak with people who’s paths I admire as they took their own pathway or “Alternative Road” to finding their version of success. We discuss who you are, how you came to understanding your purpose, what you want to do with your platform and where you’re headed on your road.

I heard Elaine has a giant crush on Vivek but he's super into Laura, but SHE'S been dating Melvin but on the DL because her parents are like heinously strict.
